VEB-Leasing and Aeroflot, Russia's leading airline, have signed a Letter of Intent to finance the acquisition of six Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft.
Under the deal, VEB-Leasing will finance the purchase of six new GE90-115BL engine-equipped aircraft for their subsequent transfer under a long-term finance lease to Aeroflot. Delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for the first half of 2014.
VEB-Leasing and Aeroflot have a long history of fruitful and successful cooperation in the field of financing the deliveries of new Russian- and foreign-built aircraft. The new arrangement is expected to facilitate the implementation of Aeroflot's program for fleet renewal and expansion of domestic and international routes.
VEB-Leasing Joint-Stock Company was established in 2003. It's been part of Vnesheconombank Group since 2008. The company specializes in the leasing of high-tech equipment, rolling stock, aircraft, marine and river vessels, motor vehicles and specialized equipment.
